Section 12J of the Income Tax Act – the most efficient tax saving tool, provided by SARS and government that allows you to hold on to your tax cash while investing it wisely.
The section specifically aims to help the growth of small and medium sized businesses by increasing their access to equity finance. To attract investors into this typically under-funded sector, which is imperative for driving economic growth, SARS has written Section 12J into the Tax Act, which offers taxpayers a 100% tax deduction in the year of investment if they invest in SMMEs by way of subscription of shares in a Section 12J Venture Capital Company.

Anuva Investments’ Income fund allows an investor to purchase 10% monthly income returning participating preference shares secured by a rental book in one of our equity companies, NuMobile.
This fund is aimed at investors who want to maximize their income returnswhilst not using capital to cover their income requirements.
NuMobile is a smartphone provider to low-income employees enabling employees to connect to the internet and other smart technology which allows them to communicate with their employers, colleagues and clients. This business has grown substantially due to Covid and continues to accelerate with many blue-chip companies recently becoming clients. Monthly subscriptions are collected from the employer, not the cell phone users, and a 15% bad debt allowance has been factored in. The NuMobile book is currently 3.5 x times the size of the Income Fund, providing ample security for the investment. Anuva will never allow this exposure to slip below 3x the rental book value.

This fund is aimed at investors who want to either own property or invest in a fund which is underpinned by property and a rental book. We have three projects on offer in Cape Town. Quivertree Apartments in Stellenbosch, Eaton Square in Diep River Southern Suburbs and Wink Foreshore situated in Pier Place in the heart of the financial district in Cape Town City Centre.
