The Anuva Impact Fund is a high-yield, alternative investment vehicle that funds the development of Solar Photo-Voltaic (PV) projects. Investment Opportunity

Target annual yield in excess of 10.0% with additional upside in returns through 80.0% participation in ordinary dividends
Efficient equity share structure – Distributions are subject to Dividends Tax (20.0%) as opposed to Income Tax (up to 45.0% for individuals)
Investor capital is redeemable on 120 days notice (but the AIF will look to facilitate earlier redemption when possible)

BACKGROUND

The Anuva Impact Fund is aimed at providing private investors the opportunity to participate in a structured equity fund that uses tax-effective financing for the development of qualifying renewable energy projects in South Africa, with a current focus on Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) projects.

The economic viability of Solar PV investing is, as a result of the declining reliability of Eskom and consistent tariff increases, at an all-time high. Anuva Investments has responded to this demand by providing development finance to qualifying projects and is subsequently holding long-term, minority stakes in some of these projects. These projects are spread across the agricultural, commercial and industrial, and residential sectors, and offer attractive investment fundamentals.

Anuva has partnered with industry experts and reputable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partners to ensure only quality projects are selected and developed. The Anuva Impact Fund acts as a catalyst to bring projects to market while retaining small interests in direct Solar PV to maximize the after-tax returns for investors.

OBJECTIVES

Generate a yield to investors from green energy related investments in excess of 10.0% (targeting 14 – 16% annually).

This compares favourably with 5-year fixed deposits (which income is typically taxed), but the Anuva Impact Fund provides investors with penalty free liquidity on 120 days’ notice.
